Order of the Sacred Treasure (“Zuihosho”), 6th Class, pre-1945 manufacture, recognizable by its four visible rivets on the reverse.
The insignia represents two of the three Imperial Treasures of Japan: the sacred Yata mirror and the Yasakani jewels, derived from Japanese mythology. The mirror symbolizes purity, wisdom, and righteousness, while the jewels symbolize benevolence and loyalty.
The silver mirror is set on a blue enameled background, surrounded by red jewels and white enameled rays. The reverse bears the characters meaning “Decoration of Merit.”
Condition: very good, with replacement ribbon.
