British Mk III “Turtle” Helmet with Normandy Sand Camouflage

British Mk III “Turtle” helmet featuring an original wartime sand-yellow field camouflage finish.

It is fitted with a Mk II-type liner, marked by the manufacturer J.C.S. & W. Ltd, and stamped with size 6 ¾. The elastic chinstrap is the Mk III pattern. The side rivets are positioned approximately 6 cm above the rim of the helmet, a characteristic feature of this model.

The Mk III helmet was widely issued to British and Canadian troops of the first assault waves during the Normandy landings of 6 June 1944.

Please note: visible oxidation is present on both the interior and exterior of the helmet, and there is a dent on the upper part of the shell.
