French Knight’s Cross of the Order of Military Merit, 1957–1963
Cross in the form of a four-armed Maltese cross with a lozenge-shaped center.
On the obverse appears the head of a helmeted Republic accompanied by the inscription “République française”, while the reverse bears the inscription “Mérite militaire”.
The ribbon consists of a royal blue background with a wide central red stripe and two white edges.
