1918 Pattern Cavalry Signalman’s Holster.
Made of tan leather, designed to carry a 25 mm flare pistol and its signal cartridges.
It was designed to accommodate, among others, the 1917 and 1918 pattern French flare pistols.
Regulation pattern adopted in 1918 and used during the interwar period and still in service in 1940.
