Airaille Type 15 Flying Helmet, Indochina War

French Airaille Type 15 flying helmet, manufactured in the late 1940s and used during the Indochina War.

This model is almost identical to the Type 11 issued during the Second World War. It differs primarily by the addition of press studs on the cheek sections, designed to secure an oxygen mask.

Rigid cork shell covered in leather, fitted with soft padded leather ear flaps. Leather liner with eight adjustment tongues, tightened by a drawstring.
