US “Theater-Made” Parachutist Badge

Interesting locally manufactured US Parachutist Badge (Jump Wings), probably made in Japan during the occupation period or in Korea during the Korean War.

The badge features two jump stars (combat jump stars). It has a rear “clutch back” fastening system, with the original pin attachments missing.

A characteristic example of the locally manufactured badges produced for American paratroopers in Japan and Korea during this period.

Period: circa 1945–1950

Dimensions: 4 cm x 2.1 cm

Condition: Fairly good. One of the fastening bases appears to have undergone an old modification.
