US WWI Victory Medal, 2 Clasps

Fine US World War I Victory Medal with two campaign clasps, original ribbon and functional wrap brooch suspension system.
The medal is made of bronze and measures 3.6 cm in diameter. The obverse features a full-length, front-facing winged Victory standing upright. The reverse bears the inscription “THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILIZATION”, together with the United States shield bearing the letters “U.S.”, surmounted by a fasces. The names of the Allied and Associated nations appear on either side.
The silk ribbon, measuring 3.6 cm in width, features two adjacent rainbows, with red in the center.
The two clasps are original to the medal:
- MEUSE-ARGONNE — September 26 – November 11, 1918
- DEFENSIVE SECTOR
