Typical British Expeditionary Force (BEF) helmet from 1939–1940.
Shell with rim dated 1939.
MKI liner, with Mark I type retaining screw and top pad.
MKII web chinstrap with spring fittings and brass rings.
Helmet complete with its large-mesh knotted camouflage net and hessian (burlap) strips.
The originality of the net in relation to the helmet cannot be guaranteed. However, it accompanies the helmet and has been left in place as found for the presentation of the set.
Condition: Good overall condition, with visible oxidation on both the exterior and interior of the shell.
