M7 Waterproof Carrier for M5 Assault Gas Mask, WWII

M7 waterproof carrier made of rubberized canvas, an original US Army World War II item designed for the M5 Assault Gas Mask.

Designed notably for the first waves of amphibious assault troops and airborne forces, it was used during the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944. It can also be found in use among some Glidermen.

Markings: UL (Universal Large), Army Assault Gas Mask.

Gas mask not included.
