German flashlight (Taschenlampe) by Pertrix, model 679L.

It is equipped with a metal push-button that allows the blackout filter to slide between the bulb and the lens.

Standard individual-issue flashlight used by Wehrmacht soldiers. Black-painted metal construction with leather attachment tabs.
