World War II French Colonial Helmet, Model 1931, Covered in Leather
Interesting and uncommon French colonial helmet, model 1931, covered with high-quality leather.
The shell under the leather is made of cork.
The helmet retains its original chinstrap, with the leather remaining very supple.
The size label is present: 59.
The stamp of a manufacturer from Marseille is visible inside the lining and is dated 04-39 (April 1939).
Some wear on the sweatband is to be noted (visible in the photos), along with some missing leather on the right side of the helmet.
The helmet seems to have had an insignia, which is now missing.
A beautiful World War II-era helmet.
