The medal features soldiers on the obverse side in a setting typical of the Asian/Pacific theatre.

The reverse side bears the inscriptions “United States of America” and the years “1941-1945,” along with the bald eagle at its center, as an emblem of freedom and sovereignty.

The brooch is a “lock catch”, 1945 U.S. Mint & Rex type.

The Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal was awarded to any member of the United States Armed Forces who served in the Pacific theater from 1941 to 1945.
