Very fine set belonging to a former Chasseur officer, consisting of his framed portrait, adorned with the insignia of the 2nd Battalion of Chasseurs à Pied.
The set also includes his tarte (mountain cap) featuring the embroidered hunting horn insignia. The cap bears a 1936 reception stamp and the size marking: 58. Manufacturer marking: Établissements Simon. The tarte is in very good condition.
The set comes with his two fourragères:

The first is the fourragère of the Médaille Militaire, to which an insignia of the 2nd Battalion of Chasseurs à Pied is attached.

The second is the scarlet fourragère of the Légion d’Honneur, which bears the insignia of the 27th Battalion of Chasseurs Alpins.
Note: The insignia were reversed when the photos were taken. The insignia of the 27th BCA was indeed attached to the Légion d’Honneur fourragère.
Condition: The set is in very good condition.
