The Organisation Todt (OT) was a German organization established in 1938 by engineer Fritz Todt under the Nazi regime. It specialized in civil and military engineering projects. During World War II, it played a crucial role in the construction of strategic infrastructure, such as the Siegfried Line and the Atlantic Wall.
The OT relied heavily on forced labor, including prisoners of war, deportees, and conscripts, mobilizing around 2 million people by 1944. After the death of its founder Fritz Todt in 1942, the organization was led by Albert Speer, Minister of Armaments, and continued to play a key role in the Nazi war effort until the conflict ended in 1945.
