Helmet model 1935/37 for motorized and motorcycle troops, Liberation era.

Helmet with brown / Havana colour leather front pad and inner liner. Presence of a front protection tab in accordance with the 35/37 model. 160-degree drop of the neck guard.

It has two flaps forming the chinstrap, attached to the liner and a buckle fastening system. The left flap is partially torn (visible in the photos). A stainless steel clip is unstitched and not attached to the liner. Some small bits of leather are missing from the front pad.

The helmet features painted rank stripes for a Battalion Chief (commandant) and appears to have never received any insignia.

This is a beautiful battlefield item, likely a witness to the Liberation battles. The helmet is quite worn but still in fair overall condition.

This helmet was intended for:

  • All personnel of combat tank formations
  • All personnel of cavalry armored formations, tankettes, and other armored vehicles
  • All motorcyclists and sidecar crews from all branches
