Carved French soldier’s cane

Carved cane of a French soldier from the Second World War. Cane in burl wood or boxwood decorated with a snake coiling along almost its entire length. The handle bears the inscriptions “Boulay-Moselle”, where the soldier was stationed, and the year “1939”. The pommel is pierced for the passage of a tie. Stick carved in the tradition of the Poilus of 1914-1918.
