British MKII helmet, typical of those used by the British Expeditionary Force in 1939–1940.
MKII shell manufactured by Harrison Bros & Howson Ltd, dated 1939.
The interior of the shell is covered with smooth khaki paint; the exterior is painted in a brown/beige color, approximately 70% intact.
MKI liner manufactured by Helmets Ltd and dated 1939. Features the “C” with a broad arrow, typical of pre-1940 production. Size 6 ¾ (55 cm).
Mark I type top screw and pad.
MKII webbing chinstrap with spring fittings and brass rings.
MKI liner fitted to MKII shell, consistent with 1938–1939 production before the adoption of the MKII liner in July 1939.
Condition: Good overall condition.
