It includes the manufacturer’s label: S Simpson Ltd, dated 1944. Size 12.

Condition: Wear around the collar, a few discreet moth traces. Overall in good condition.

The 2nd Battalion of the Royal Ulster Rifles landed in Normandy at noon of June 6, 1944, on Sword Beach (Queen Red sector), west of Ouistreham.

The 1st Battalion landed by glider in the evening, at Landing Zone N near Ranville, and was deployed to extend the southern sector of the bridgehead.
