World War I German Ersatz Bayonet

First World War German Ersatz bayonet.

Smooth metal handle covered in black paint.

The straight, single-edged blade is in very good condition.

The pommel of the bayonet features a clover-shaped slot designed to accommodate the cleaning rod of the Mauser M-1898 G rifle.

The handle is also equipped with a cleaning hole. The bayonet’s locking button is of the “split” style.

The crossguard is made in a single piece.

Functional press-stud.

It comes with its simplified steel sheet scabbard, also covered in black paint. Despite some paint loss and minor dents on the scabbard, the set remains in good overall condition, preserving its full historical authenticity.
