US 17 bayonet, First World War.

Blade marked with the Ordnance  grenade and the eagle’s head with inspector number 14. The other side of the blade is stamped Remington 1917.

Wooden grips secured by screws and split nuts. Two deep vertical grooves characteristic of this model. Cleaning hole present on the pommel.

Scabbard with two steel fittings. Type 2 scabbard attachment system. Scabbard covered with a dull olive-coloured paint.

Press-stud fully functional.
