Kepi M-1884
Interesting model 1884 kepi, typical of the French soldier of 1914. Re-enlisted Sergeant’s kepi, tailor made hat with required chinstrap and visor. The interior of the kepi is meticulously made. Officer-style infantry buttons. The overall shape suggests a pre-war manufacture and its use in 1914. I found this kepi with an unstitched button that was inside the kepi, it was mended by myself. Fragile chinstrap with defects.
