German bayonet model 98/05 for Mauser rifle, nicknamed the “butcher blade” due to its resemblance to a butcher’s knife.

First-type bayonet recognizable by its socket fragment.

Solid blade S98/05 “Ohne Säge” (without saw).

Handle with grooved wooden grips, fastened together by round-headed bolts and slotted nuts.

Leather scabbard with two iron fittings, produced before 1915.

The bayonet comes with its leather bayonet frog.

Functional press-stud.
