Portrait of a Japanese Officer, Meiji Era
Nice portrait of a Japanese officer from the Meiji Era (1868–1912) in parade uniform.
Three decorations can be seen on the officer’s chest: the Order of the Golden Kite, the Order of the Rising Sun, and the Russo-Japanese War Medal (1904–1905).
The photo was taken in a studio in Kanazawa.
Large format portrait: 18 cm × 12.5 cm
Condition: Good condition, with a pen inscription on the side of the soldier, and the back suggests the photo was removed from an album.
