Silver médaille militaire featuring on the obverse the effigy of the Emperor, surrounded by blue enamel and the inscription “Louis Napoléon.”

On the reverse, the central medallion bears the inscription “Valour and Discipline,” also surrounded by blue enamel.

The suspension loop is double-sided and depicts the imperial eagle with outstretched wings perched on a thunderbolt. The eagle retains some traces of gilding. The wings are detached from the central module, in keeping with this model.

The ribbon is yellow silk with two vertical green stripes.

The medal is signed BARRE.

Condition: Good condition, no enamel chipping.
