Infantry sword / Glaive Model 1831, from the July Monarchy period.

Brass cast hilt, numbered 923 on the crossguard.

Blade with central ridge and double edge, marked Manufacture Royale de Châtellerault, May 1832 or 1834. “W” inspection mark of second-class controller Simon Widerman (1829–1836) near the ricasso.

Leather scabbard with two brass fittings, bearing the same number as the sword. Chape also stamped.

Condition: Fairly good condition, oxidation on the blade.
