Fine English flintlock box-lock pistol with forced ball, dating from the late 18th century, signed ARCHER on the right side of the frame and LONDON on the left.

Steel frame with engraved line decoration, simple trigger protected by a trigger guard, and smooth walnut grip with an attractive aged patina.

The round screw-in barrel bears the official proof mark of the London Proof House.

The flintlock mechanism is complete and in good working order.
