Antonín Vincenc Lebeda is one of the great European master gunsmiths of the 19th century, renowned for the exceptional quality and precision of his firearms. He produced luxury pistols and rifles for the aristocracy, combining mechanical performance with artistic refinement.
He is distinguished by his technical innovations, notably the so-called “Prague lock,” which is simpler, more reliable, and safer, and was widely imitated across Europe. His workshop operated as a true manufactory, with rigorous control of each component and an advanced level of traceability for the period.
His firearms, robust, elegant, and technologically advanced, earned him an international reputation and established him as a major reference in the history of gunsmithing.
