Insigne frontal de type croissant (mod\u00e8le plat) de l\u2019Arm\u00e9e d\u2019Afrique utilis\u00e9 \u00e0 partir du mois d\u2018Aout 1915. Le croissant, peint en rouge, suit la tradition des r\u00e9giments de Zouaves. Le centre de l\u2019insigne, quant \u00e0 lui, est peint en vert. Il s\u2019agirait vraisemblablement d\u2019une fantaisie du soldat probablement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 d\u2019afficher la couleur symbolique de l\u2019islam.<\/p>\n
