Casque Britannique MKIII dit \u00ab\u00a0tortue\u00a0\u00bb en acier au mangan\u00e8se, Seconde Guerre Mondiale.<\/p>\n

Le casque MKIII est fabriqu\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de 1943 jusqu\u2019en 1945, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9 pour offrir une meilleure protection que le Mk II, il conserve cependant le liner du MKII. Il est d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois le 6 juin 1944, lors du D\u00e9barquement de Normandie, \u00e9quipant les unit\u00e9s britanniques et canadiennes de la premi\u00e8re vague et \u00e9quipera plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement les troupes des th\u00e9\u00e2tres d\u2019op\u00e9ration europ\u00e9ens en 1944-1945.<\/p>\n

Le casque pr\u00e9sente une belle peinture vert kaki brun conforme aux productions de 1944-1945.<\/p>\n

La bombe est de la fabrique Rubery Owen & Co (Ro & Co) du d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 1945.<\/p>\n

Le liner est du mod\u00e8le MKII en toile cir\u00e9e mont\u00e9e sur une armature en carton compress\u00e9. Le liner est marqu\u00e9 du fabricant FFL (Fisher Foils Ltd) de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 1944. La taille du liner est de 7 (57 cm).<\/p>\n

La jugulaire est du mod\u00e8le MKIII en toile \u00e9lastique de longueur r\u00e9glementaire (55 cm) avec ses boucles de maintien et de r\u00e9glage en laiton chrom\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un beau casque, homog\u00e8ne, dans sa configuration originale. Un incontournable pour toute collection alli\u00e9e de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Les premi\u00e8res productions du casque MKIII ont \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9es aux soldats sans coiffe. Ceux-ci d\u00e9montaient alors les coiffes de leurs casques MKII pour les remonter sur leurs nouveaux MKIII, puis rendaient leurs anciens casques \u00e0 l’intendance militaire.<\/p>\n
