La m\u00e9daille a un diam\u00e8tre de 30 mm et est fabriqu\u00e9e en alliage aluminium-bronze. La m\u00e9daille et son \u00e9crin sont en tr\u00e8s bon \u00e9tat.<\/p>\n

Sur l’avers, on peut y observer le blason du chrysanth\u00e8me ainsi que le double pont sacr\u00e9 menant aux jardins int\u00e9rieurs du Palais imp\u00e9rial de Tokyo. En arri\u00e8re-plan, on peut voir des repr\u00e9sentations du sanctuaire ancestral, du sanctuaire imp\u00e9rial et du palais imp\u00e9rial.<\/p>\n

Le revers porte les inscriptions suivantes: \u00ab\u00a0M\u00e9daille comm\u00e9morative du 2600e anniversaire national\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a015e ann\u00e9e de Showa\u00a0\u00bb en dessous.<\/p>\n

Le ruban est de couleur violet avec huit rayures rouges. Le violet symbolise le Grand Ciel, tandis que le rouge repr\u00e9sente la loyaut\u00e9. Les huit rayures signifient la devise \u00ab\u00a0hakko-ichi-u\u00a0\u00bb (tout le monde sous un m\u00eame toit).<\/p>\n

Le 2600e anniversaire de la fondation du Japon a \u00e9t\u00e9 c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 en novembre 1940 pour marquer les 2 600 ans depuis la fondation l\u00e9gendaire du Japon par l’empereur Jimmu, le premier empereur du Japon, en 660 av. J.-C. Selon le r\u00e9cit historique traditionnel du Japon, l’empereur Jimmu aurait acc\u00e9d\u00e9 au tr\u00f4ne le 11 f\u00e9vrier 660 av. J.-C., marquant le d\u00e9but de la lign\u00e9e imp\u00e9riale japonaise.<\/p>\n

En 1940, cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement marquant a \u00e9t\u00e9 comm\u00e9mor\u00e9 par des c\u00e9l\u00e9brations \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle \u00e0 travers le Japon, mettant en avant l’h\u00e9ritage imp\u00e9rial du pays, l’unit\u00e9 nationale et l’identit\u00e9 culturelle. L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement a eu lieu pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 par le gouvernement pour favoriser le patriotisme et renforcer la d\u00e9termination de la nation durant une p\u00e9riode difficile de son histoire.<\/p>\n

Bien que la date de 660 av. J.-C. soit bas\u00e9e sur la mythologie japonaise et des documents historiques anciens, elle reste une date symbolique significative dans les traditions culturelles et historiques du Japon. L’anniversaire lui-m\u00eame est connu en japonais sous le nom de Kigen 2600 ou le Festival de la Fondation nationale du 2600e (\u7d00\u51432600\u5e74).
