Durante el Protectorado Franc\u00e9s de T\u00fanez (1881-1956), esta orden continu\u00f3 existiendo y se utiliz\u00f3 ampliamente para recompensar tanto a tunecinos como franceses y otros extranjeros que contribuyeron al desarrollo y administraci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds bajo el dominio franc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"392\">Las distinciones eran otorgadas por el Bey de T\u00fanez, pero bajo el control de las autoridades francesas, en particular del Residente General de Francia en T\u00fanez.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"392\">La orden se otorgaba a funcionarios de la administraci\u00f3n colonial, militares, altos responsables franceses y tunecinos, y personalidades influyentes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"392\">Reconoc\u00eda servicios excepcionales prestados a T\u00fanez en diversos campos como la administraci\u00f3n, el ej\u00e9rcito, el comercio, la cultura y la diplomacia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"392\">Muchos funcionarios franceses destinados en T\u00fanez recibieron esta distinci\u00f3n, lo que reforz\u00f3 su papel como s\u00edmbolo de prestigio y
