US M-1910 First Aid Pouch with Carlisle First Aid Packet, WWII

A fine example of a US WWII M-1910 First Aid Pouch, in very good condition and complete with its original Carlisle Model First Aid Packet.

The pouch is clearly maker marked “J.Q.M.D. 1942”, indicating manufacture in 1942 by the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot, Jeffersonville, Indiana. It is the early WWII version, constructed in OD#3 khaki webbing, with the characteristic two-snap closure.

Both press-stud fasteners are fully functional, and the original belt attachment hook is present at the rear.

The pouch retains its WWII Carlisle Model First Aid Packet, with its original metal container and period markings, including the “Crystalline Sulfanilamide” inscription.

A faint ink marking can still be seen on the reverse of the pouch, apparently the remains of “CS” for “Combat Serviceable”, an interesting detail reflecting its military use.
