Knight’s Cross of the Legion of Honour in silver and enamel, from the Louis-Philippe period.

The star, composed of five double rays ending in rounded knobs, is surrounded by oak and laurel leaves in light green enamel. Small chips are visible on the white enamel at the tips of the rays.

The obverse centre (Second Restoration model) features the profile of Henry IV and the inscription “HENRI IV ROI DE FRANCE ET DE NAVARRE.”

The reverse centre of the insignia shows two enamelled French flags and the inscription “HONNEUR ET PATRIE.”

Decoration in hallmarked silver.

Small chips to the blue enamel at the centre of the reverse.

Cross accompanied by a later ribbon.

Condition: Fairly good, minor defects.
